Adding to the bloodbath of rejected physics students. 1 year undergrad research. Multiple TA'ing positions. No GRE.

Not completely unexpected, but a little disappointed. 3.9/4.0 undergrad, some research experience (at my school and at Caltech), some professional experience. No GRE, so maybe that's why.

We receive over 1,000 applications for admission each year for a very much smaller number of graduate student positions in our program, and therefore are unable to admit many well qualified applicants. Checked portal and saw update. Generic rejection letter saying they received over 1000 applications. AMO/QI fields of interest.

please if you received an offer from somewhere else and plan to attend it, please please please contact them about it. This is my only hope left. I am crying through this
