Speech Language Pathology Graduate School Admission Results

This is my first acceptance and I cried tears of joy! However, I need to make a decision by March 15th with a non-refundable $1000 deposit and have not yet heard back from the other two schools I applied to. This is the highest rated program I applied to, but also the most expensive program by quite a bit, and I have to be considerate of my family needs when making this decision. Fingers crossed that the other schools send out decisions soon! For those who may be wondering, I had strong GPA in my last two years, with a rocky past (was re-admitted via fresh start 8 years after starting my bachelor's degree.) I repeated some key courses and boosted my grades. I took two graduate level courses as an undergraduate and earned an A in each. I participated in independent studies for additional experience, and worked part-time jobs in related fields (ABA, substitute paraprofessional.) I have worked for the past two and a half years as a SLPA. I spent a lot of time on my essays and obtained strong letters of recommendation. It can be done! I was wait listed, but not accepted to any programs during my first application round. Don't give up on your dream! Best of luck to those still waiting!

Tier 1, will be declining

I REALLY would love to get into USF's program. It is close to home, and this is where I did my undergrad! Too bad I was wait listed..

Just notified I'm on the 2nd tier wait list. Above average stats as compared to what's on edFind, so I was hoping for tier 1, but I guess I'm just not what they're looking for. For future applicants with borderline stats looking for a holistic review, PSU may be a good option. Congratulations to all who got in!

I haven’t heard anything at all either. But I’m hoping it’s because I’ve applied to the online program and not the campus program.

Has any one heard from UCF for Fall 2015?

Has anyone else not heard back from Florida?? Did something change on your online application or anything? I still haven’t heard...

Is there any chance for wait listed people to get admit?? When will the wait listed people will know about their final status??

Was called and emailed to update me on the acceptance for Fall 2019. I interviewed only 4 days ago, so decisions were made very, very quickly. Congratulations to everyone else accepted.

Interview in July and was told it would be 4-6 weeks until I hear back. Has anyone heard back for spring? My interview went well, or at least I feel like it did. Crossing my fingers.
