No funding

Received several emails from professors in the Department giving me the good news!

To the poster below: They sent admission to some interviewees a couple of days ago.

2 emails. One auto-generated notified to check the system, and another from graduate school coordinator stating I am rejected.

To the MSU person below, you are most likely waitlisted. I was an undergrad there who also applied this application round and I have the same message as you. I was informed at the end of January that my application was waitlisted. Just to provide some info, as I'm assuming the whole corona situation is going to be extending their decision making process!

Did anyone who interviewed hear back yet?

Emailed the department for an update since the portal shows my application still under review and their department web page says decisions will be made by Mid-March. They emailed back today saying my application was still under review and not with the COVID-19, they probably won't send out final decision until the end of March. I know the MSU has suspended classes until April 20th because of it. I applied to the archaeology department if that helps.

I emailed the program director on march 2nd and they never responded back to me. I went to check the application portal today and saw the decision letter there. I wish they would have notified me in an email or something -- super unprofessional.

The kindest rejection email I've ever received. Took me even awhile to start crying afterwards as it's very very sad anyway.

Emailed program assistant then 2 days later I got an email to check my portal

Never notified about my status on my application. I checked the application website to see if I could find out more information. I saw a status update telling my that I was not admitted into the program but was reffered and accepted into MAPSS with a 1/3rd tuition funding. Unsure on whether Ill accept due to the cost of living in Chicago and tuition.

The best fit faculty are on sabbatical. Wasn't meant to be.

Have not yet received any information about funding, and haven't gotten any snail mail from the school.
