Graduate School Admission Results

Dartmouth guys below, I got interviewed like 3 weeks ago haven't heard anything yet. Emailed to inquire and he said he referred my case to the admissions committee and I should be hearing back in 1-2 weeks and this was about a week ago so I'm guessing they'll get back to people soon.

International student. Applied to profs connected to Perimeter Institute who were hiring. Quantum gravity, strong gravity and cosmology.

Dartmouth guy below, from looking at past years, they keep everyone hanging until April 14, then drop the hammer. I haven't heard a thing.

Ignore waitlist: anybody hear back from them yet? I know they interviewed people but after they interviewed you did you get a rejection/acceptance? Does interview = rough acceptance or they interviewed everybody?

Ignore waitlist. I applied for hep-th. I sincerely request anyone with offers from UMass Amherst, who does not intend to join, to please decline the offer so that we can hear something for us. Please, guys. This place is my last hope. Got rejected from everywhere else.

International student. HEP ex. Offer on 1st of Feb. Accepted the offer on 12th of March. No GRE, no pub. 4 years of research experience in multiple groups.

Despite having withdrew my application 1 month ago, the department emailed me an acceptance. I am now in a superposition of accepted and rejected (until the chair of the graduate committee wakes up and observes my response email).

AMO-ex. International. 1.5y experience in AMO labs.

I am wait-listed at Rutgers for hep-th/hep-ex. I sincerely request you to decline the offer at Rutgers if you are not going to attend. This is my only hope as I have no other offers. It would mean a lot to me. This is my second year applying and I really need to get in this year.

Got an email just now saying I'm on a waitlist. This is a really tough year, I got rejection from basically every other school I applied to.

mailed them and they said all offers and waitlists have been made, haven't sent rejections because if someone declines, they may consider other people. Therefore, I humbly request you to reject CMU if you have a better place in terms of ranking or fit, cos I've found 3+ profs with excellent research fit here. This is my very last hope in this 3rd cycle :(

Please reject if you having another good offers and inform them ASAP. because this is my last hope i am waitlisted and stressed with the situation. This is my Last Hope.

I got accepted to Ohio State earlier in March for their Physics Ph.D. but just declined the offer. They are having their open house on Sunday and Monday, so hopefully one of you waitlisted will get an offer soon and be able to visit. Good luck!
