Had an interview and got rejected. I thought we had a good discussion during the interview. "We have received your application for the PhD. in Information program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Information School (iSchool). Your application has been carefully reviewed as part of a competitive pool of applicants. Full consideration has been accorded to your transcripts, references, C.V., and statement of purpose. We regret to inform you that we cannot accept your application for admission. We appreciate your patience during our review and evaluation process."

Four years of work experience. Some research experience (internships, dissertation), but no publications

Anyone know what this means?

UW Madison CS department admits MS and PhD applicants in the same pool, so rejection was for both these programs.

second decision. This year is really late. First rejection. Still waiting.
