(NOT WAITLIST) Is there any info about the ETH AI Center PhD program? Did you receive any acceptance or rejection mails?

CLS+AI Center program at ETH (NLP focus). Ok grades, some first-author publications.

CLS/MPI program at ETH (NLP focus). Did not get notified but the website says that shortlisted candidates were notified. Ok grades, some publications (first author EMNLP, NAACL). Prof. said it was a mismatch of interest from the associated institution (MPI).

- Romanian university (UPB) - No GRE - Applied in second round

Italian student from Politecnico di Milano. Few research experience, but high GPA, good LOR and previous experience as Teaching Assistant

BSc Computer Science from KCL. Expected First with Honours. GRE: 166Q/159V. Research experience over the summer; worked as a Teaching Assistant for 3 courses.

Currently finishing BSc CS at an average German University (QS-Ranking 200-250). High preliminary GPA (1.1 where 1 is best and 4 is minimum pass grade). GRE 169(Q)/160(V)/4.0(AW). IELTS 8/9. Finished one semester faster than standard duration of studies. Some research experience from writing the thesis (worth 6+12 ECTS) and a 2 week research internship during high school. Some related professional experience as a student employee (4h/week).

Masters degrees in humanities (Cambridge) and BSc CS from one of the top German universities. Grades very good but not perfect either. Research experience, several internships.

Undergrad at Uni of Cambridge, 3 internships, and multiple papers under review. Did not receive ESOP yet, but was informed it was being decided upon. EU national. Did not submit GRE.

Princeton undergrad. Decent grades and GRE but no publication. REALLY disappointed! Already got into UC Berkeley anyway ...

Undergrad in Aerospace Engineering with minor in Computational Math. I also did research with faculty from the math department. Was interviewed for ESOP a month ago.

Received email telling me to check status on website. Italian undergrad student, great GRE score, 3.75 GPA, zero publications. One internship and a little bit of research experience in related fields, strong motivation letter and LORs.

Australian university without honours (3 year degree). 93.6 average mark, from what I know basically top 3 in course (~600 people). 167/169/4.5. 2 summer research in Med Phys, resulting in first author in to-be-published paper in top journal, another half a year doing compsci reserach (around 1.5yrs in total). Good SoP (did my research on the uni), decent LoR (1 from deputy dean of compsci, 1 from my reserach supervisor). Participated and won a few hackathons, top 5 in regional finals for ICPC, and some high impact awards at international level in high school. I thought lack of honors would disadvantage me, but clearly not. The long wait between results was killing me, thought I was a goner for sure. This is my top choice, since lack of honors means I cannot apply for US unis nor PhDs, and this is the best masters program out of all others.

Undergrad from top Indian University with high CGPA..... 2 publications published and 2 more in progress. Interdisciplinary research experience as well.
