I am delighted to inform you that you have been the first program to reject my PhD application for the Fall 2018 term. As you know, rejecting such an excellent applicant as me is very competitive (one out of thousands), and I congratulate you. Unfortunately, I refuse your comment that Cornell is not able to be a part of the next phase of my career. Please understand that after becoming a excellent faculty in HCI I will still have many chances to work with you in the future. Once again, I appreciate your courage to give me a rejection letter and wish you every success in your future rejecting.

Computer Science, Cornell University TTPB: Yocket posters are all MEng, which has slightly lesser requirements than the MS CS. Not sure which one you applied for. Cornell's MS CS is incredibly hard to get into, their requirements are pretty crazy. I heard their overall batch size last year was 14 students.

(Computer Science, Cornell University To the poster asking about MS in Ithaca: I'm also waiting. Judging from past years' posts I don't think they conduct interviews. They seem to put more emphasis on teaching, which is what the funding comes from. I'll say just stay hopeful.

Computer Science, Cornell University I notice some more acceptances are out. People on yocket have gotten in with 312 and 320 GREs. I know GRE isn't the only criterion, but I have a 335 GRE, a 9.5/10 GPA from a decent Indian University, 116 TOEFL, an international conference review publication, a national conference best presentation award, two other research experiences, a bunch of decent ML/AI projects, two software engineering and one data science internships. I don't quite understand what colleges want. Rejected by Toronto, Princeton, UCB, Stanford, ETH, CU Boulder (seriously?), Austin, UIUC and a bunch of others. Columbia interviewed me in February and are ghosting me since then, and Amherst is still stuck on review.
