Electrical Engineering, Princeton University Was interviewed in mid-Jan. Was assured a position by the faculty of interview (SOP POI). 1 top journal Master Thesis publication. One of the top universities in the world for undergraduate. 4 preprints. All papers first author. All three top class recommendations. One from a very big shot in the field, fully personalized. I cannot work in academia anymore now. Too much I have seen in last 4 months. It's all on luck. The graduate students I have contacted in these top places were far less qualified than me. It is more politics than actual politics.

Physics, Princeton University In previous years it appears that they would send out some acceptances and then a bunch of rejections. But this year most acceptances have been to experiment, and no rejections yet. Are they done sending out acceptances?

Electrical Engineering, Princeton University To all the people for EE Princeton: I appeared for an interview with the faculty mentioned in my SOP in mid-Jan. I have not received anything yet. Shall we conclude that all acceptances are out and exhausted? Given that the posts are quite less as speculated by the last post, it also seems that some acceptances may still be left to deliver. Then there's another fact that last year Princeton EE delivered all results in a single day. Cannot strongly conclude anything. I emailed the Grad School they just said to wait and didnt reveal anything specific. Does it make sense to email the POI at this point? My track is Quantum Engineering, Applied Physics.

Electrical Engineering, Princeton University TTPB: I was interviewed with one POI at mid-Jan. and I didn't hear anything from Princeton yet. So I reached to my POI through email, he just told me that I was on the waitlist. It seems that Princeton had sent a batch of offers which is less than the original years(comparing the acception posts). Those who have not received anything might be on the waitlist or worse. Some suggestions. To those who do not hear from the school: Stay clam and keep faith. To those who admitted: If you decide to go to other universities, pls. decline the offers and give the opportunity to others. I thank you on behalf of those on the waitlist. My area: ML + Biological & Biomedical.

Electrical And Computer Engineering, Princeton University TTPB: My track is biomedical devices/nanotechnology and I have 1 interview in late Jan. My POI (not the one I interviewed) emailed the acceptance to me and it looks like they're sending it one by one instead of simultaneously. Hope that helps and good luck!
