Studying at an IIT, had completed summer internships, involving both industrial software development and academic research at renowned places. One poster publication and a submitted patent application. Good grades, a strong SOP and good LORs. Very elated to say the least.Their word: "Congratulations on your acceptance into the Master of Science program in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon. Are the official results for the CS PhD out yet? (i.e outside ML / LTI). Does anyone know more about the timeline.

Adding to my post below... Wouldn't it be funny if they mistakenly rejected everyone from Ph.D. as the opposite of what they did for the Masters program? Maybe we will get some "Sorry, you actually were admitted..." emails later. Anyway, best of luck to all other applicants in all your decisions!

3 years Robotics research experience, 3 publications and 1 more under review, 1 internship autonomous driving, 1 internship controls and AI at MIT, Mechanical Engineer with minor in CS. Perhaps my relatively weaker CS classwork held me back, so congrats to all who were accepted! Now deciding between USC, MIT, Virginia Tech, and Princeton for Robotics and Controls

Non related background, poor GRE; however, descent research experience! Still wait for UCB, Stanford's admission. Computer Vision/ Machine Learning.
