Given three papers to choose from, to be discussed in the interview.

Received official offer Feb. 3rd. Interviewed early Jan., went very well. 1 first-author paper & 1 co-author paper submitted to ApJ, 2 co-author papers in prep., very strong LoRs. Really excited about this acceptance, the package, people & program seem great!

already got Caltech so LOL

No accepted GRE(Actually I got 990/97% in PGRE QQ) 1 first author APJ several fellowships --------- 20K/9months + 2500 signing bonus

Around ~1.5 yrs research experience in a different astro area than what I listed as my primary interest

email about status update, not surprised (but was secretly hoping) as this was the most prestigious in my list, got generic reply from 1/3 PIs I mailed. most prestigious and most safest both are out, let's see. QD

Ouch but not surprising

My interviewers seemed to really dislike that I wanted to do research in one specific subfield (and one of them was straight up mean), so this probably wouldn't have been a good match anyways.

Rejected 2/4. 2 years of research, no pubs.

Did not receive an email. Rejection letter shows up on the portal.

1 to 1 interview invitation. No GRE, No publication, strong LORs, 2 years of research experience. My research interests are extra-galaxy and galaxy evolution.

~1.5 years research experience, 2 first author pubs in ApJ, a few talks/posters, strong LORs, strong statement, no big awards, no GRE, no teaching experience. 5/0/4 accept/reject/waiting. Emailed potential advisors in October, got very brief/generic replies. Interviewed Jan 12, went well. Visit days March 27-30. Very happy about this one!
