Rejected from ICME MS. International student from tier-2 university in India. 9.58/10 CGPA, 1.5yrs of full-time research experience at a top-tier research lab, 2 papers from mid-tier conferences - both in ML related fields.

No research experience. I have internship experience and volunteer work.

Tier-1 University, 7 publications (2 published, 5 under review), 2 years research experience, 2 international research internships. No work experience.

International student with undergrad degree from the US. 2 publications (one outside of CS, one for a data science workshop), 2 years of undergrad AI research, 2.5 years of work experience as a software/machine learning engineer. Received email to check portal and a status updated had been posted.

Ignore status. Is there anyone who hasn't heard back from MS&E yet?

3 papers, 1.5 relevant experience in industry. 1 LOR from boss who was a Stanford PhD. Other 2 LORs are from research advisors who get their PhDs at Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon. Congrats to those who got in!

Didn't give GRE as it was optional. Institute rank 2 in an IIT. 1 journal publication, 2 conference publications. TA for 1 year. Working at a Faang since last 3 years. Congratulations to all admits!

Got an email telling me to check the website, and the website said I got in! This is my first admit, I'm so happy!

- international applicant (Europe) - graduated in top 1% - thesis got published and awarded “best paper” - 3 LoRs, one from CEO of space company - founded startup that got acquired - internship at big tech company This is genuinely not to brag, but I did think I would be accepted. Am so curious about the reasoning of the committee, but unfortunately that will always be a black box. Sincere congratulations to everyone that got accepted, have a wonderful time at Stanford :)
