Graduate School Admission Results

Got an email at 2 pm EST. "Thank you for your application to the Interdisciplinary Master's Program in Environmental Studies (ENVS) at the University of Oregon. I am very sorry to inform you that we are unable to recommend you for admission Fall 2024. A committee comprised of Environmental Studies faculty, in consultation with focal department faculty across campus, carefully reviewed all applications. Because the ENVS program is small and functions through a unique collaboration between Environmental Studies and other UO departments, it is highly selective, with a great deal of competition for each available place. We thus find ourselves unable to admit many of the highly qualified students who apply. This year we had a larger than average pool of very competitive applications."

Rejection from PhD and acceptance to MA

I give up trying to switch fields from humanities to environmental studies/sciences. It is not my fate.

Rejected from Ph.D. and accepted into MA in the same email.

Email to check the portal back on Friday (8 March 2024). A short acceptance letter. No word on funding. Will likely decline it as I have other offers with funding.

If you have dominant offers, please decline Penn State! This is my only hope.

Ignore status. Has anyone heard from IU Bloomington for the math PhD yet?

IGNORE STATUS - does anybody know how to check the status of your application. Is there a portal? If so, where do you find the portal? Or do we just find out by email?
