Physics, University Of California, Riverside TTPB: I'm not a physics major but damn, I cannot believe UCR rejected a profile and gpa like yours. Mind sharing more info? Interview? Undergrad/masters in physics? They aren't at UCB or UCLA level to be this selective. I really am curious. I hope you get a better admit.

Physics, Montana State University To the poster below, did you receive a personal response from the physics department in your rejection letter? I was told that I should reapply again next year if I didn't get into a program as I was waitlisted for this year. Sounds like another bait. 0/10. Life seems to be unfair. I just feel like dying.

Physics, Michigan State University For those who got rejected by all, you were me last year. What I did was asking a professor in my school do continue to do research after graduation (without paid) and reapply next year, so that you will have a stronger background in research. And I highly recommend the book "Getting in to Grad School for Physics", which I didn't read for the first year and I regret it.

Physics, University Of Maryland At last. The way they delayed sending rejections has seriously bothered me. This was the last decision I was expecting, so my watch has ended. Only one admission out of nine applications, all in physics.

Physics, McGill University (Not waitlist) TTPB(Mcgill physics):They might make some offers off the waitlist towards the end of April. The professors haven't been responding to emails (hep-th), so it's hard to determine exactly how many offers will be made. I guess we just wait patiently.

Physics, Case Western Reserve University Seems like we couldn't make out of the wait list. It seems I am also destined for the inevitable. Bye Bye US. Hopefully Australia works out for me, where I got the admission offer without scholarship. Currently waiting for the scholarship outcome which I am really hopeful. If nothing works out, let's unite all rejected people and do some real business, so we can fund ourselves, no need for universities, We work on any interesting problem as per our choice, at any suitable rate for publishing with really good results, and as leisure or holidays, some of us 'll also work part time on business that will sustain our funding. I am really serious for coming up with a sustainable model of doing Physics without begging for University positions.
