No interview, rejected by email

Unexpected call from Ed Glaeser this morning explaining that the previously received rejection notice was sent by mistake. Started saying how the department really hoped I would forgive them and still consider attending before shouting APRIL FOOLS!

Portal on March 15 was bugged for a bit. Received acceptance and program emails the following week

It was a blind shot. I got my hopes up for nothing.

Unfortunately, I was admitted to thesis-based masters instead. They also generally require masters for PhD admission. The PI already warned me about the funding situation before applying. Shucks to be me.

Has anyone heard back from LIU Brooklyn after their interview day? I know they do it on a rolling basis but am not sure if I should still expect to hear anything by now..

Ignore status, has anyone heard from OSU with rejection or waitlist? I only saw a couple acceptance here but nothing else. Contacted them but didn't get any reply

Application Date: 03/15/2024 (last recom submitted) - 03/12/2024 (paid and submitted on my end); Decision Date: 03/29/2024; Education: B.S. (Int), M.S. (Int), and Ph.D. (U.S.) in physics, with GPAs of 8.3/10, 3.71/4, and 3.96/4, respectively. This is for OMSCS.
