Profile: B.E. in Computer Science from a tier-1 Indian university. Research internship in a different country for 6 months. Work ex. as a Data Scientist for about 2 years.

Computer Science, Stanford University Applied to HCP as PM in AI research org of FAANG company with 2.5 YOE. Undergrad from top 5 public school with double major in computer science and finance, 3 YOE as teaching assistant for CS classes, no research experience, GPA 3.82, GRE 168Q/167V/5.5 AWA. Strong rec letters from FAANG director in AI, well-known professor who I work with, and TA supervising professor. Solid SOP.

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst Lol. People channelizing all their rejection frustration by ranting over the portal. THIS WOULDN'T MAKE YOU FEEL ANY BETTER. You better work on your profile and make yourself worthy of the portal. No one from the univ told you to continuously check the portal. You better write a script that does it for you just like our god BeanBag (i.e., Vijay R**) from the Yocket group did. Why can't you people just wait for 2 more days when you have waited for 5 months. Rather utilize your time in improving your f*ing computer science knowledge.

Computer Science, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) I contacted UCLA ms computer science they said that they will probably start releasing admits by the last week of march(around 30, 31) it they have completed their evaluation they also said that this time the number of applicants are high so it will take time.

Computer Science, Missouri University Of Science & Technology Only admission has been offered. No info regarding funding. POI has been assigned as the initial advisor. Professor nominated me for the Kummer I &E doctoral fellowship. March is almost over...still no update.

Computer Science, Stanford University Bachelors in CS from top 7 IITs. Great academic performance. 4 years work exp. in natural language processing (NLP) and data science at a top Wall Street FinTech company (perhaps core tech company like FAANG would have been better for Stanford). Some research experience in NLP but no papers. Mentioned the prof I wanted to do research with at Stanford explored my plans and possible research directions I could take at their lab in my SOP. Applied last year as well, same outcome, exact same wording of the rejection email. Rejection email received on 20th March at 11:02 PST. TTPB: to the person accepted to Stanford MSCS but rejected by CMU CDS, I am pretty surprised. I feel that Stanford CS ~= CMU CS >> CMU CDS (+Stan has the location and weather going for it) I got an acceptance from CMU CDS which is a silver lining but absolutely devastated that I couldn't get into Stanford on my second attempt as well.

Strong letters of rec from tech execs at well-known companies (1 CTO, 1 Tech SVP and 1 Engineering Manager).

To others accepted to USC MS ECE: Is there a deadline to provide financial proof statement (to obtain official admission letter) ? "We are pleased to inform you that you are *academically eligible* for admission to the Fall 2021 semester as a graduate student majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Machine Learning and Data Science) leading to a Master of Science. To receive your official offer of admission, you must first demonstrate proof of the ability to pay tuition and living expenses."

Computer Science, Columbia University TTPB who asked: Columbia MS CS or Harvard SM Computational Science and Engineering Definitely Columbia MS CS, since the SM CSE at Harvard is only 1 year, and isn't really a CS degree. (I'm assuming you want to do something CS-related after your degree) Also, did you get a Harvard SM CSE Admit this year, or was it a deferred admit?

Computer Science, Cornell University Admitted to M.Eng. Computer Science in the Ithaca campus via an email this morning. No GRE submitted. > 3.9 GPA, 3x FAANG intern, research for over 2 years, 1 publication. Have until April 15 to decide.
