Checked the portal and found a rejection letter.

Hi Everyone. I hope you are all doing well. I would immensely appreciate it if you choose to decline your offer from Rice if and only if you have better options. It has been a quite challenging application year and this is my top choice. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

2 MS degrees (3.7 and 4.0) - One in area of interest with a concentration in HF, the other in Psych. 13 journal articles (including one in Nature and one in PNAS), 15 conference, multiple years of working in the field as a consultant.

Involved in 2 research projects, was a TA for classes, volunteered in department and with university, president of BIPOC societies, EDI initiatives

Rejected due to not taking linear regression during undergrad. Offered admission into their masters program.

I attended two interviews with a professor. She recommended me for admission. Later another prof. took an interview and gave me a task. But in the meantime, I received a rejection letter.

Received an email that I was rejected. Said it was competitive. UM is top 6 in school of public health and that explains why it is competitive. 2A/4R/0I/0W/4P

Notified by graduate coordinator that I'm on waitlist. Please decline your offer if you're not planning to attend, since it is one of my top choices!

Email from the DGS that I have been accepted with four years of funding!

I was told my application was impressive by a professor there, and my dad is a professor there in a related department. I got a status update this morning in the portal that I was rejected.
