Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University BS in EECS w/ honors from top 5 US school. GRE 170Q/167V/5.5W. 6 years exp as a software engineer, 2 years in relevant research area (computer vision). No pubs or LORs from academia probably the main reason for rejection. Dang! All rejects so far this year. Congrats everyone who got in.

Computer Science, Data Science, IST Austria Received a rejection letter through email. Interviews went well, but many factors are taken into account and most don't have anything to do with us. For other rejections: don't let this define you. Good luck with your life!

Computer Science, Virginia Tech Rejected from MSCS with the following profile: 2 peer reviewed publication in Computer Vision domain. 5 months RA experience in undergrad. 2+ years R&D Software Engineer experience IELTS: OVR7.5 (SLRW: 7.5, 8.5, 8, 6.5) Then, offered MEng CS from the same application.

Patents- US Office-2, Indian Office-1. Working at an R&D firm. Work Ex-30 months. Video Interview Submitted- 03.01.2021, Under Review on- 19.02.2021. Hope it helps others :)

Computer Science, Princeton University Indian student here with CGPA 9/10 and GRE Q168V152. I had a 2 year teaching experience in computer programming and machine learning, plus additional teaching voluntary experience. I have exceptional research too in my ugrad, though no publications. It seems Princeton has only admitted American citizens this year and few other students who already are undergrad from Princeton. I have seen so many good profiles bring rejected this year which makes me question the selection criteria of Princeton or for that sake all the IVY leagues. It seems they have played it safe this year due to covid shit. Their generic message, though, doesn't do the justice to the applicants and they should rather explain that they are refusing to accept any international students for 21-22.

Received an email from Lacey Siefers this morning: "I am excited to inform you that the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University is recommending you for admission to the MS program beginning fall 2021. You will receive your admission message from the Graduate School through the electronic application system in a few days. Please let us know by April 15th via an email response whether or not you plan to attend Purdue's graduate Computer Science program. We look forward to hearing from you!" GG.
