Architecture, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Emailed them two days ago regarding the waitlist status. Replied with: "I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to MIT's Department of Architecture for the Master of Architecture. The number of applicants for admission to the Graduate School greatly exceeds the number that can be accommodated and it has been necessary to refuse admission to some fine applicants." Too bad I couldn't get in. Will be attending Harvard GSD though!

Physics, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) 2 years research experience. 1 summer research internship. Strong letters of recommendation. Rejected by generic email. Mentioned that they received more that 1500 applications for a class of less than 50.

Microbiology, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) they really waited until the last day--someone told me they sent out the first round of acceptances a while back...already committed to a different school. if they accepted me earlier i would have considered the program more seriously. but between interviews to now, I didn't even get a response from the admin when i asked about the timeline for acceptances

Philosophy, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) i'm sure the point of this survey is not to i) make sarcastic unfunny posts about the waitlist that are borderline classist/racist or ii) express whether you are glad at any certain point (hot take but enjoying someone else's misfortune is pretty negative..)

Social And Engineering Systems (SES), Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Received an email on March 22 stating that a handful of applications (including mine) have not been released, and that we should hopefully hear back from the program by April 15. Anyone else in the same boat?

Electrical Engineering And Computer Science (EECS), Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) Any idea when waitlisted candidates can expect final decisions? I wish they got this over with. Ironically, I saw there was a post for rejection->acceptance last year in April, lol.
