Counseling Psychology, Hunter College I knew this was coming, checked portal (no email). I rushed the application at the airport and applied same day. I got in last fall 2023 for their general psych masters research program, but wanted to go the counseling route. I didn't really deserve to get in this time around, glad someone else got a spot.

Economics, Penn State University TBP: Same boat here. The Econ department at PSU is renowned as one of the most caring programs for international students. My fields are econ history and macroeconomics. Please decline as it is almost April 15th and my mom keeps asking me where Im going.

Economics, Vanderbilt University TPB: We are in the same boat. I beg you to decline if you do not appreciate this program. Prof. Kamal Saggi and Prof. Kevin Huang are perfect matches for me. My intended fields are international finance/macro and/or financial economics.

Film Production, University of California-Los Angeles Rejected after attending the interview, I found some satisfaction in the process, but the outcome was still a rejection. Reflecting on it, perhaps I could have prepared more thoroughly to better persuade the panelists.
