To the UBC poster below, I am on the same situation.

Wasn't expecting good news since it took this long but at least I finally heard back

IELTS 8.0 . No publications. Research Paper underway. Strong SOP . mentioned interests in Artificial Intelligence - specifically in Machine Learning. Mentioned two professors and their research groups of Machine Learning and NLP. Strong Recos. Just Applied. Waiting positively for an answer. - Sagar Parikh

Applied to theory. Two pubs in progress, fairly strong LORs. No word on NSERC CGSM.

Casual interview with POI, Results out by next week

Accepted to the Optimization group with a funding offer of 18K CAD per year. Was interviewed mid February. So relieved.

At the time I applied thought it was an alright choice. Now I know, it's very hard to get in. Good luck to everyone!

I've just received an answer via email, saying that if I haven't heard anything from them yet is because my application is still in consideration.

To the poster below who the UBC reply, thanks for the note. What do they mean by "still in consideration?" Does it mean waitlisted or not reviewed at all yet? Thanks.

Answering the last post. I've asked the Grad Program Support from CS Department. I'm not sure if that means whitelisted or not reviewed yet. But they also said that decisions will continue to be made until the program is full, usually end of April or early May.

I have heard from a source that most people will be notified by 2 weeks but it will mostly be rejections... those that don't hear back after that will be on some kind of wait list or are being held for unknown reasons...
