Computer Science, Penn State (Pennsylvania State University) Ignore WL: PSU deadline for accepting the admission was 15th April. Now it is high time for uni to send the acceptance/reject to waitlisted apps. Any idea if they would send it soon or by next week??

Data Science, University Of Pennsylvania Data Science, MSE Program: I applied by the regular decision deadline. Just received first communication today. I am happy to be accepted, but I already committed to another school because of the late date of notification. Darn. Might have considered it if it came earlier.

Materials Science And Engineering, University Of Pennsylvania I really don't get it. They invited people to their info seminar in March to talk about campus life and all, and then they send a rejection?! Why would I care how graduate life at Penn is if I am not even allowed to attend? Do they think their campus is a National Historic Landmark? They could have aired it on National Geographic if that were the case. I could also find many students from Asia, where it would have been easily past midnight in their timezones; I am pretty certain if I was rejected, so were many of them, and they were awake for nothing. I could have easily sent my acceptance letter to some other school instead of waiting for them (everyone's hopes were high on being invited). Frankly, I was at fault for not sending in acceptance to my place of choice too. Penn is an Ivy, and while it beats the university I intend to attend in global rankings, the STEM program is probably one of the best, and beats Penn any day and everyday; what was I even thinking? I am from a mid-high tier Public uni, and if this is how Ivies conduct themselves, they have tough times ahead as far as reputation, probably their only trump card from POV of STEM aspirants, is concerned,

Computer Science, Penn State (Pennsylvania State University) Will Penn State offer any admission to Fall 21 MSCS program this year? I am waiting only for PSU's results and with the whole visa slot fiasco, I am not sure how long should I wait. Is anyone desperately waiting like me? Also does PSU offer admits for freshers

Materials Science And Engineering, University Of Pennsylvania Was invited to the info session but still got rejected. They should really host the info session at the start of the application season instead of when the admission decision is about to release. It did no good to anyone when the info session was hosted this late. Appreciate the initiative but I believe there's a better way to handle this. Saw applicants from other departments having the same issue... Anyways, good luck to ppl out there still waiting for the results.
