Graduate School Admission Results

Has anyone heard from the ID department?! It's getting kinda late in the game here...gotta start notifying other schools soon.

The email read "We regret to inform you that we will be unable to offer you admission. We received a high number of quality applications this year which made the admission and decision process very competitive. We wish you all the best in your continuing studies and career."

Canadian first time applicant, sGPA 3.79, cGPA 3.76. (GPAs may be higher than that due to some international grade conversions) 100+ hours SLP volunteering with children and adults, non-SLP research experience

I received an email as well regarding MEDA fellowship, however, it was a mistake from their side which they confirmed through a second email. However, they left the message "Recipients of the MEDA award will be contacted by their respective departments shortly." Is there anyone who has been contacted by his/her respective department confirming the MEDA award?

The letter is postmarked March 22nd (I am an International applicant). This is about time. All this wait for nothing...

the email says I've been "recommended for admission" which I'm taking as a yes? especially because it also includes a bunch of info that I received in other admission emails. Slightly confused, but also excited! :)

Talked to my POI. Seems like I'm technically wait listed. If anyone is accepted and not planning on attending, please let VIMS know!

Is there anyone still waiting for results like me? I've heard that once late-march arrives, your chances of getting admitted are pretty slim... :(

To the poster below: I called them but they say that the department has already sent out the acceptances. At present they are working on the waitlist. Seems legit. As a small school, Dartmouth shouldn't have taken many candidates. Still, fingers crossed. I am in CMT. What about yours?

The PI I was interested in emailed me some questions like "Where do you see yourself in 10 years, career-wise?", "What are the main skills you are seeking to gain in graduate school?", and "What is your background in statistics and programming?". She also asked me to send her my transcript and a writing sample from a science course. Then, we chatted over Skype during which I asked her about her current projects and research, mentoring style, and lab. She invited me up to Pullman where I attended another program's recruitment weekend since CSS doesn't have their own. A few days afterwards, she decided to reject me (the program doesn't do rotations) because she and everyone else (I guess the two other profs I talked to there and her lab?) felt that I wouldn't be a good fit for her research. My grad portal still says my application is under review.

Besides the two reported earlier, has anyone heard from Iowa State's M.S. Statistics program yet?

PsyD Program. Finally got acceptance offer. No award information available. Wondering if scholarship decisions were made already.
