Graduate School Admission Results

PsyD Program. Finally got acceptance offer. No award information available. Wondering if scholarship decisions were made already.

To the post below, I'm quite curious what is your reason for (potentially) choosing UCSD over CMU? I know CMU is very strong in CS and hard to get into (for some of its finest programs), but I'm not very familiar with UCSD and hence the question. Has it got a nitch for your area of study or is its MSCS program really a good one?

Thank you for the information. That really helps. I am hoping for the best. Everyone will end up where they need to be :-) and if you don't get accepted this year don't give up. If this is what you really want to do be persistent. This is my fourth year applying and I finally got waitlisted to my dream school! I got in to a school that's going through a ccreditation at the moment so that will be interesting if I end up going there. Good luck everyone.

It wasn't, I received informal offer from the director of graduate studies

TPB: They emailed "towards the end of March". Everything could be interpreted as "towards the end of March" (e.g. 14th March). I hope you are right about that but unfortunately I have received this email including this expression.

I heard they are changing how they do acceptances and all international students are getting conditional acceptances. So they emails are conditional acceptances and you have to find an advisor to get actually admitted. This is to reduce the amount of students who have to work on projects they don't have interest in, or not allowed to work on due to the funding agency.
