Graduate School Admission Results

TPb: I haven't heard back either. I don't think the program would go without telling us a decision. I would imagine Dr. Edwards isn't responding because they're still in the process.

Has anyone heard back?

TPb: Finally got the email. Was rejected from Ph.D. program but accepted into the Master's program. "Your application to the School of Liberal Arts PhD program at Tulane University has been reviewed by the Economics department. As you may know, the competition for admission to selective graduate programs is strenuous and a limited number of positions are available each year. Because of the high quality of our applicant pool this year, the department was unable to recommend your admission to the Economics PhD program. However the application committee was impressed with your application and would like to offer you admission to the MA Policy Economics program. The Economics MA program is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in ultimately obtaining a PhD. The MA program does not offer any fellowships or teaching assistantships but the tuition is considerably lower than the PhD program tuition. For the 2019-2020 academic year the tuition is $18,308 plus fees.
