CS MSc student at ETHZ, thought I had a decent chance. Devastated :(

Got an interview two days ago. Professor told me he advised the committee for my admission, and that they will send me an offer in the next couple of days :)

1 paper submitted - HCI field - No GRE - 1 relevant ongoing research project. Strong research based SOP After deadline, 2 professors reached out and invited me to informal zoom meetings separately.

MS student at ETH. 5.7 GPA with an ongoing thesis, and multiple papers at top conferences (some first authored). Thought a high GPA from ETH was good enough but lol.

had three first-author publications in ML. made no prior contact with potential supervisors but maybe I should have done that...

BTech from IIT (2022). 2yr corporate work ex (including internship). 1 first-author paper in A* conference. 1 third auth paper in B/C conference. No foreign research experience.

Apply to ML. master student in CS at EPFL, 5.59/6.0 without thesis. Research assistant in both EPFL lab and industry. 3 papers in A* database conference. I expected this since I don't have any ML papers

Masters in Mechanical Engineering with a high GPA. Almost 7 years of professional experience. 5 years of research experience in highly related field.
