Mechanical Engineering Graduate School Admission Results

Updated on application portal over a week ago "A decision regarding your application has been reached. Please be patient, as your intended program/plan of study is working to notify students". Did not receive any email (waitlisted?)

Any Phd applicant who got admitted to the masters program at Stanford.

I'm so tired of waiting... I submitted my app in November and they still don't have admission results 4 months later? This is the last school I am waiting on. Even uc berkeley, ucsd, uc davis have sent me acceptances already so why can't ucla? I don't even care if I get a rejection I just want a result so I can pick my school

Funny. If you don't apply, you definitely won't get in. Self rejection is worse :')

Undergrad from a top 5 mechanical engineering school. 2 research, 2 internships, 1 publication. 3.8 GPA. Expected since I know they only accept 4.0? Congrats to those who got in!

Got an email this morning

top 10 engineering schools, 2 research publications, 2 internships, decent LORs, still not enough for Stanford. But congrats to all who got accepted!

All decisions should be out by March 26 since that is the day of virtual campus visit for MS admits.

TTPB: Congratulations to those who got selected. Is there any news that only accepts got sent out?

Quite surprise! I regret to inform you that your application for admission to the University of California, Santa Barbara Department of Mechanical Engineering for Fall 2021 has been denied. Every year we have many more excellent candidates than we are able to accommodate, requiring us to make difficult decisions. Sometimes even outstanding applicants cannot be admitted.
