Ignore waitlist. It seems like everyone has heard back but I haven't!! No email... nothing on the portal. Any clue whats up?

Gpa is BA and masters

Received an email from DGS, which includes their signature and detailed info about the funding package. Official letter from the graduate school will follow soon. Accepted without an interview.

Got an email to check portal for update on decision. Said I was selected as an alternate candidate and added to the waitlist. Followed up with an email to the department and was informed that it's a very small cohort (5 students) and that I'd know more about chances of admission in the coming weeks. This is my top choice, and really the only program that fits my research. Fingers crossed!

dream school, bummed, etc. but realistically there's nothing I can do about not being a good fit, which I knew I wasn't! (in addition to it being a very competitive program, of course) either way, onward! :)) 2a/2r/7p

pretty much given up on my chances this year.
