No email, just checked LSE For You and found a rejection. Must have come in in the past 3 hours or so.

Finally! Very excited about the offer and is going to attend.

"I regret to inform you that your application for this programme was unsuccessful. Your application has now been passed to the Selectors for your second programme choice and we will contact you again when a decision has been made. Whilst it is not the policy of the School to give specific reasons for decisions, we offer the following to clarify matters. Decisions are contingent upon the availability of places, there are simply not enough places to give an offer to everybody with a first, upper second or equivalent. Many applicants, most of whom are extremely well qualified, are inevitably disappointed. Departments are looking for excellent references, a focussed personal statement and in some cases relevant work experience and good test results." It was a long shot anyway. I knew it was coming. Congrats to all successful applicants!

All but references were done in late December... application officially complete on Jan 5th. Undergrad at a top 4 Canadian institution and 1 year RA experience at central bank. Devastated to say the least. Email to check LSE for you 2.5

TPB: Sorry to learn about your rejection. Makes me worried about my application as well. If you don't mind, can you tell if it was the 1 yr M Sc Program or their 2 yr program?

To LSE offer holders, I received the email informing my acceptance to the phd in economics program on Mar.1st but there was no update on LSE for you portal. No formal letter, no response form, still “under review” ... is that common? Sent email to ask but no reply.

To LSE admits: would you like to share your choice please? Thank you very much! This is my only remaining programme, distressed...

To the LSE post below, I will decide over the next few weeks. I am still gathering more information, very sorry for the wait. Good luck

I was waitlisted last month, emailed them to ask for status today and received the offer! This is my first choice and will certainly accept. Really, really appreciate someone who turned the offer down. I will decline my other offer asap. Best luck to everyone :)

Has anyone received a decision from LSE? I applied in early January and have not heard anything back. Anyone in the same boat?
