long wait, sad result

Emailed the department regarding a decision. Said that they are still making decisions and still sending out some acceptances. Said expect to hear back in the next few weeks. I think it is highly unlikely to get a PhD admit at this point gg.

Happy to see my efforts were not wasted. A month ago, I was dreaming to get this admit, but along the line an incredible offer came along. I already have commitments elsewhere.

I was emailed at 5:50 AM CDT this morning. I applied for the MS degree, but received two offers. One is an acceptance for MS only with no guaranteed funding (unless I secure an RA). The other is a PhD acceptance with a five-year funding guarantee (larger monthly stipend for year 1 for 11 months, really good monthly stipend for year 2-5 for 9 months). This second offer doesn't commit me to continue in the PhD program after I finish the MS (no penalty for leaving after MS, although I would probably finish the PhD personally). Not what I initially applied for, but really tempted to accept the second offer, this was definitely worth the long wait. Super excited! Good luck to the rest of you!

Did anyone got a dates to expect admits to m.eng. if not can anyone contact the mech grad for dates.They aren't replying to my mails.

Worst admissions cycle. Will have to figure out if I need to apply again. Covid has ruined the big plans.

Created an ID and tracked for 3 days only to be told they sent a physical letter to my house for rejection. Just done with the whole application process

TTPB: I still have not heard anything from UT. I scrolled back to see the admissions for ME applicants last Fall and it seems like a lot of people got their decision on the 15th of April which is pretty bad. Not sure whether or not I should email admissions regarding status.

Is there anyone who got admission from Udel, ME dept? It's been too long.

TTPB: UT Austin has already sent out admissions for Mechanical Engineering MS and PhD students. The virtual open house was a month ago. You might want to contact them regarding the status of your application.

Has anyone heard anything from UTA? First they said they'll be releasing results by Feb end and then by march end but it's been pretty silent all around.
