Huh, I posted this earlier (but it's gone now), but I am so excited!!! 3a/2r/1w/2p

Ignore interview; has anyone received a rejection from UPenn, Michigan, or Notre Dame? I've been seeing acceptances and waitlistings. The waiting is driving me insane. I wish they would just reject me already.

really kind email from dgs, congratulations to those admitted. saw some dejected posts for these rejections. for those of us waitlisted or rejected, dont let this get you down! the caprice of a commissions committee with specific interests that we cannot foresee do not dictate the extend of your worth or potential as a scholar. you will either thrive at another program or excel in another career. wishing the best for you all! we're in this together

For those accepted into PhD English at Cambridge, did you have to undergo an interview as part of the process?

Received an email from the director of graduate studies. 3rd rejection of the season. Looking for something to keep the spirits going.

I already got an offer from different programs, so this did not affect me much. The general process is really slow for this cycle.

GPA is MA, 5a/3w/1r/2p

Glad they sent out rejections and notifications on the same day as acceptances. I am not disappointed as this wasn't a top choice or best fit. Weird that I got into a top 20 program last week (that I also didn't think was a good fit) and then was rejected here. Just another example of how complicated I'm sure this decision process is.
