No mention of funding yet

sent a message in the uApply system. got the response saying the decision will be notified from late March to mid-April

First admittance! Feels nice. No funding though? Feels not so nice.

Just got an email from NYU saying that a decision was posted on their portal. There is actually no decision in the portal yet and the email is dated March 5th. Of course, it is a rejection, considering acceptances went out two weeks ago, and I will have to wait till Monday. But what pisses me off is that they already have a decision and they just make you wait for their convenience. Like they were doing us a favor and we weren't paying for the revision. How inconsiderate. I am wondering how long they've had a decision and they just don't release it just because they can.

To the poster below. First of all, congrats! I am planning to apply to the same program for fall 2020. Would you mind if I ask you some of your background like where you did your B.A. (like asia or europe or somewhere else?) Also, did you have any research experience? You're the same poster who said applied for Ph.D. but offered M.A. right? Thank you so much!

I'm really upset. It was my top choice and I was sure it was a perfect fit.

I called. Said I am on a wait list and they will make decisions w/in the next week or so.

Full funding, stipend, flying out for interview weekend.

Being rejected at this time probably means they are really not interested in me. Thought would be a fit. Sad. But anyway, they are the #1 program, and I am not the #1 applicant.
