Political Science, Brown University I periodically check my applications and found the decision letter when I went to applyweb. Never got an email. When I checked it this morning it wasn't there so it was uploaded at some point today. I applied to CP subfield with a focus on conflict/Africa.

Political Science, Rice University This year our graduate program received a large number of applications for graduate study, and the applicant pool was extremely competitive. Since we are able to offer admission to only a small fraction of the applicants, we cannot accept many students who are well qualified for graduate work. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you a position in the Doctor of Philosophy program. We wish you success in your future endeavors and hope that you will be able to pursue your research or study plans at another institution.

Political Science, Stanford University Checked the website and found my generic rejection letter - expected result, was a weak fit. 1a/1r/0w 6 remaining. Canadian applicant: with the exchange rate tanking, each word in my rejection letter cost $1.47. Fun times.
