Graduate School Admission Results

GPA is grad. Kinda shocked but oh well. Good luck to those accepted!

Disappointed, as it was my first choice. However, I have an offer from another university; so, not heartbroken.

I am not super active on this page but seeing all the posts from scared, anxious, and depressed applicants made me feel the urge to provide a brief note of encouragement. It will work out for you eventually. This is my third application cycle and it's gone well. Just keep working on yourself, network, do some conferences, and expand your horizons beyond academia. Life, knowledge, and learning are much more than that which we find in the confines of a prestigious university or a classroom. Have confidence in yourself and don't give up. Rejection is a part of life and facing it is a learning experience of its own.

Rejected from doctoral program and offered admission to the MA.

Emailed to course coordinator and got response that I was rejected. best fit, another heartbreaker in the world :( 1a/4r/2p

End of the cycle for me! I knew this wasn't the best fit, so actually surprised and glad to be waitlisted! Working with Diane Vaughan may still be within reach. For context about me, I studied public policy at an Ivy, won a research award, worked in industry for a couple years, am first-generation and low-income student. 2a/2w/3r

Received an e-mail this morning about status update on portal.

No GRE, GPA: 3.85

Does anyone know what's going on with UC Irvine?? I know they have sent out a series of acceptances and rejections, but I have not heard anything from them :/

Ignore the waitlist, has anyone heard back from USC or JHU? cosmology/astrophysics in general
