Email from Michael Nelson saying they were "impressed with [my] application," and stating that there'd be very little info on waitlist movement before the first week of April.

9000€ fee waiver; 300€/month stipend

So. This guy walks into a bar and orders a drink. Bartender says what'll it be, buddy. Guy says no, the question is what *is* it to be *qua being*? Bartender slaps him. Guy says Okay a martini. The night moves on. Guy broods, contemplates, drinks. It grows late. Bartender finally says Okay buddy, last call, want another? Guy says, I think not, and vanishes. Oh and the guy was Descartes. Dang it I messed that up so bad. (Congrats to all of you who were accepted! Do great stuff and be happy.)

Congrats to those admitted, and I urge you to fight the union-busting tactics of Duke's admin while you're there.

Ignore the status. If you decide to accept another offer from elsewhere, I would be grateful if you could decline the UCONN offer. By declining, you allow another student (who is on the waitlist) to avoid missing out on their only opportunity.
