IGNORE STATUS has anyone heard anything from UBC yet for sociology?

Have posted about this acceptance before. Just want to let whoever is on the wl know that I have declined this offer.

No email, I saw the updated status when I randomly checked the portal today.

Waitlist notification via email, kind of strange: You are on the waitlist for the PhD Program in Sociology. You should receive a formal email from the admission portal if you have not already. We were impressed with your application! Our practice is to make a funding offer to all students we accept. Thus, we must secure funding lines before we make acceptance offers to all our qualified candidates.

Grad GPA. Accepted their offer, as it's more money and closer to my hometown.

GPA is grad. Applied 10 months ago at the urging of a professor I had been in contact with, so I am really disappointed. This is the only school I applied to so I guess that's it for me. Just got this email: I am sorry to inform you that you were not selected for admission to the graduate program for the 2024-2025 cycle. We wish you luck in your future endeavors. Really bummed.

I got an email stating that I'm on the waitlist for this school. If you guys are rejecting the schools or planning on going elsewhere please let the school know ASAP. I REALLLYYYYYYY need this school guys PLEASE. Thank you sososo much!

IGNORE STATUS. I am waiting very anxiously for the UCI results. I guess I may be on the waitlist. Those who have received the UCI offer but do not plan to go please reject the offer ASAP. Thank you very much!

Applied for PhD and only got admitted to the MA program. I got other good options so will decline the offer.

IGNORE STATUS. Has anyone heard back from Merced? I keep checking my portal and my emails but I haven't heard anything back yet. It probably is a rejection at this point obviously but... still holding onto hope maybe?? I've tried emailing them as well and haven't heard anything back. Please let me know if anyone else is in the same boat?

Received a really kind email. They stated there was 4 slots in this upcoming cohort. 3a /5r/3p

Notification via email from grad director with first year adivsor CC'd. said they had 118 applicants for 4 slots. I am planning on turning down the offer today or tomorrow.
