Phone call from the DGS!!

Rejected from PhD program but admitted to MAPH. Checked portal. No interview. Canadian BA and MA.

Didn't even receive an email, a UCHICAGO alum, very disappointed that I wasn't even notified. Checked by chance

I was invited by the Eng department for a (paid) early visit last fall so this came as a surprise to me. Had two different fellowships in undergrad along with a summer research internship and several conference papers. Found out through the portal, no email yet. Undergrad GPA isn't that great (3.6) First news of the season, hoping for good news in the coming months. Hang in their everyone :) 1r/17p

No email, checked the portal when I saw the results here. MA GPA is 3.87

Applied with an interest in rhetoric and composition and received a very kind and encouraging email about being waitlisted!

referred to maph which sorta makes me happy i guess since this is the most positive news so far; even if i get accepted unsure if i will take as i wanted a PhD/funding problems. (3r/4p)

checked portal; simple rejection letter with note “we sincerely hope you are able to pursue graduate work at another institution”; unable to reapply due to research only aligning with this year's theme of those announced for English dept admissions

GPA for MFA (creative writing): 3.9

Didn't get an email, I just checked the portal. Not surprised because I hadn't gotten an interview.
