No interview, straight rejection.

Previously enrolled at Speech@NYU 3.5 GPA, extensive experience as an SLPA/ATP

Seven of my friends on a forum and I received an email stating that if we were not invited to an interview, it meant that the department did not shortlist our applications. The email also mentioned that our applications would be reviewed if there was a vacant position after April 15th. It sounds a bit weird to me. I think they didn't review applications and just sent a template email.

My Bsc is in Transportation Engg track with a social studies MS later. Good programming background. Wanted to work at the LINK lab transportation related projects. Unfortunately, first rejection of the season. Kinda expected though.

Highly unprofessional of this program to reject applicants with ONE sentence: "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." We spend some much time and money on these applications and you cannot even write us a decent letter to reject us? Who do you think you are?

Didn't receive anything about funding. However, they sent an email 2 hours later that their department provide funding to each PhD student.

Not a good fit. Had these thoughts even before the rejection. It was a mistake to apply. The decision just confirmed it.

Grad GPA

It was expected. Not best match with their research interests and my background. No interview. Received email to check the portal. around cob on 6th March usa time. 0a/1w/1r/3p.

Those who have better opportunities please decline your offer from Purdue.It will be very kind for waitlist candidates.

I was interviewed around February. The rejection is quite shocking

Maybe I was not worthy of it. Still being positive. I know this is not the end. The best part is somehow it taught me to work harder and be a better person. Congrats to everyone who got accepted. You won in life!
