Political Science, Emory University Phone call from the professor who is director of admission (whom I have little interests overlap with). Really unexpected at such a time. So called "recruiting visit" between Feb 10-12, not quite an interview though. The professor said that they will not release offer until they receive confirmed responses from candidates (I can understand that since they only matriculate 6-9 students every year). Waiting for responses from other schools.

Political Science, Central European University Was previously interviewed then accepted with a tuition waiver and today was emailed about whether if I would attend with a partial fellowship. A little late given I would have a to get a visa, so declining and applying to other programs in the upcoming season.

Political Science, University Of Texas Dallas To poster below, I got twisted around by this dept. Grad Director told me my acceptance based on my stats was a "no-brainer." Fast forward to after I fedex all of my transcripts, letters, to them. Faculty committee member suddenly wants all new letters of rec because mine are old, and the same Grad Director tells me the exact same stats are "not that impressive." Same stats that made him say my acceptance was a "no-brainer." Someone around here lacks a brain, and it's not me.
