First rejection, not a shock, research was not prevalent here. 1r/0a/0w/4p

Ignore interview, just to warn future international applicants: I received an admission without funding, so I'll have to pay for out-of-state tuition of $30,000 yearly and won't have opportunity to teach at all. The DGS said there was no funding for international students. Was wondering why they bothered to give me an admission. I haven't got an acceptance yet but I replied that at least I need a tuition waiver to even consider this admission. I wonder whether the department really wants me or does not care.

Alas. I probably wasn't going to study here anyway, but a perfunctory rejection is never nice.

My dream school. Medievalist. So grateful since it's not a direct rejection. Congrats on all the offer holders! (If any of you decides not to come by the way, could you plz plz make your decision asap. The endless wait is killing me.)
