They received over 700 applications!

Not an interview, but a question. Congratulations to those accepted! I have been seeing people posting about Mankato, but I have not gotten anything. Thinking this is a bad sign... but wondering why they would send out acceptances and waitlists and make rejections wait days to hear back, especially when it is almost the weekend. Wondering if anyone else hasn't heard back and is in my shoes?? Or knows if Mankato rolls out decision emails?

First rejection. I'm not super surprised as I know how competitive SDSU is, but still bummed. They said they had over 700 applicants this cycle! Congrats to anyone who was admitted! :)

4.0 SLP post-bacc, 3.7 undergrad. substitute teacher for 5ish years, TA for 3 years. lots of experience in special ed. no SLP related experience. totally expected the rejection lol.

Lots of volunteer, leadership experience, and extracurriculars. No research!

Kinda surprised :( no research experience though!

4.0 CSD, 3.7 last 60, 3.3 overall. Work experience paraeducator, tutor, server. Lots of volunteering. But no research experience.

Cumulative GPA: 3.9, CSD GPA: 4.0- Accepted with a GA position

I was accepted for the Distance Learning Program but will be declining offer due to acceptance from my top school. Good luck! I am hoping someone will slide into my spot off the waitlist :)

Removed myself from the waitlist, already got into my first choice. Surprised to have heard from them so soon, considering their application didn't close until 2/15.

Received my acceptance letter today via email for the distance learning program. So excited! My top choice! I will be accepting!!!

Kind of disappointed and curious what they were looking for.. didn't even get waitlist. Thought I had good stats and good extracurriculars and essays. Congrats to everyone though!

Offered assistantship through their Diversity and Inclusion Fellows program... Bilingual, extensive and diverse SLPA experience, great LORs, submitted application in October.
