Notified of interview on Dec 18th, interviewed with PI and one grad student on Jan 22nd. Notified of waitlist on Feb 1st. Currently a Senior completing my undergrad in psych, 3.43 GPA, completed 1 REU internship, around 500+ research hours across 2 labs, in an undergrad fellowship. Believe I was rejected because I wasn't a good fit

Had calls with prospective PIs in the fall before applying and knew money was going to be the main constraint going into it. I'm honored to be under consideration, but being waitlisted here will certainly make deciding between other offers harder for me!

Notified i didn't pass to the second phase of admissions (interviews&design task). will get the official rejection from 5th of April

Received an email from POI

GPA 1.07/1 with 160 ECTS finished in 4 semesters at the time of the application. 2 faang internships, no research experience. LoRs from professors I'm good friends with and that know me well, but they're relatively new to the academia.

Did not receive an e-mail. Result came through the application portal.

High GPA from a medium-size university in Italy. In my opinion: pretty decent SoP, one strong LoR, one good LoR. No internship but I am involved in some pseudo-research experience with my final thesis project. In the end I think GPA and a good match of ETH's BSc courses with mine have been decisive. Good luck to all other applicants!

I had an interview with Prof. James Jones. I emailed the coordinator and after a few hours, they sent an email that my status had been changed. I checked the portal and... rejected because financial assistance is not Available.
