Graduated from one of the top 4 CS programs in the US. >= 5 years of work experience as a senior software engineer at top tech companies. LOR from well-known professors. No GRE Mediocre GPA Good SOP (tricky to say how good my SOP is but friends of mine who finished their Ph.D. in the same field did proofread) 1 Research during undergrad

Email from POI to schedule a interview for after the holidays

The professor said the decision will be made by the committee in Feb. Don't know it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Generic rejection email, wasn't expecting much but even so. Decent LORs, 6 months of internship work-ex, 3 research papers and 1 patent publication. Just too competitive I guess.

Indian CS Undergrad from a private university. GPA : 9.43/10 - 3.83 is what I got when evaluating it on scholero. 3 papers in pretty good venues (one each of workshop, conference & journal) as a first author or joint first author. 6-month research internship and about 6 months of fulltime work-ex. I tried to reach out to see what the issue was, because I was under the assumption that all decisions would be out on the 14th of Jan, but I received a fairly generic response stating that they don't provide that information to applicants. Best of luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

From one of the old IIT's, GPA was a bit on the lower side. Had good LOR's. 2.5 years of work ex as a software engineer.

Good LoRs, Good Research Papers, etc. still a rejection :(

Received email from POI for interview whenever I'm available in the next few weeks

Rejected: MS in CS at Tempe FALL-22, TOEFL-111, GRE-323, Great SOP, LORs. Can't understand why?! Best of Luck to all others!

from an okayish private uni graduating in India majoring in CS with a cg of 9.03/10.00 got 328 on the GRE(170 158 4.0 VQA). I am currently doing a research internship at CMU for the last one year and have even done 2 previous research internships one of them being MITACS( A Canadian research internship). LOR's were supposedly strong, but ugh. I guess hard luck to me and all the best who is expecting results you guys got this!

I did not take GRE, just TOEFL. I communicated with the Professor before applying.
