Mechanical Engineering Graduate School Admission Results

The Admission Committee members are "favourably impressed"... So I guess im the worst applicant getting admitted?

That's second year in a row. A bit surprised honestly but we move on : Stats : 2 publications in IEEE national conferences, 3 internships at Indias top labs : IIT + IISc + another top lab. Led 2 projects with a combined funding of over $80k. 6 other academic projects : mostly design, robotics and manufacturing related. President of a major club. Strong loR from Chancellor of univ, lab PI and a senior mech prof in my dept. hurts because its 2nd time but sometimes you just gotta let it go! Congrats to all the admits!!

No interviews and no published research, so was very surprised to be accepted! Past experiences: Mechanical Lead on NASA Mars Ice Challenge team, winning 2nd place and Best Technical Paper at the competition. Co-op experience at robotics startup and at NASA JPL. Have worked on-off in a robotics lab on campus and was the design lead on a robot that was awarded $200,000 by the US Department of Energy. Revived university robotics club after it died during the pandemic, serving as President for two terms, ultimately rebuilding it to 400+ members. Current President of school's ASME chapter.

No idea what these guys want. Literally had all boxes checked, regardless, all the best to others who got in.

No scholarship

Very surprised! I was waitlisted last year for the same program. So this year I converted 2 of my projects into IEEE publications, added one more year of research experience at India's top research institute and my projects had very high funding too, strong LoR from my dean and my guide at the lab. Got into umich and Cornell. Disappointed that got a straight reject this year even with a better profile, also can't see any other rejects here so maybe I'm the first reject lol

MEng, Mechanical Engineering specializing in Modeling and Simulation of Advanced Manufacturing Process. I'm an international student.

Interview invitation on 2/8, interviewed on 2/11, and admitted on 2/15.

MEng in Robotics and Control, blank profile with zero research + intern, let alone research in robotics. Undergrad thesis in CFD, minor is business finance. But the admission says they are "incredibly impressed", I myself am not impressed.

No assistantships granted as none is available this time.

Didn't use my GRE score as it wasn't required. General Acceptance Letter. No information about funding which might be the case for Master's offer but not sure.
