Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

Got an email at 4:01 pm (CST) to check the portal for the status update. Rejected. I did have really low GRE scores though.

shortlist of 15, admitted top 6. fingers crossed

Received a very kind email notifying me the acceptance from the director of soc dept.

MA in Sociology (4.0 GPA), four years of research experience (honors thesis, MA thesis, two collaborative projects), multiple conference presentations, graduate teaching assistant for several undergrad sociology courses, zero publications, no GRE scores This is my first Ph.D. decision and acceptance; I'm also an in-state student. I applied to four other programs, including UMass Amherst--which might be a rejection since I saw a few people upload their acceptances/waitlist status just a couple of days ago. However, I'm glad I started off with an acceptance because it will make any future rejections tolerable.

Plz ignore the interview sign. Anyone who has not heard back from USC yet? My portal is empty. What is going on??

Domestic applicant, GPA is masters.

No GRE.

As an international student (American) I wasn't sure if I was going to get in. It's my dream school and I'm absolutely ecstatic! When the owl delivered the decision last nigh I was shocked!
