Rejected on Feb 3rd 2022 saying cannot offer admission to CSE department as they received over 2400 applications.

I saw a couple of acceptances for Cornell on gradcafe tody, so I thought I would know the decision today. However, I just got an email from a non-POI asking to do an interview.

From a professor that I mentioned in the SoP. Apparently UPenn's admission is more PI driven rather than the committee.

They said in the email “ We received an extremely large number of applications and not all acceptance letters have been sent out yet”
