Graduate School Admission Results

I previously had an interview on the 11th, and was waiting so long for this!

Received an informal notification of admission from the admissions committee, saying that formal notification will be sent in the following days.

10 Publications (3 journal, 7 conference), 4 years working at a national laboratory

3 years of undergrad research, almost 3 years of Industry experience, and 4 months of research after graduating.

Unofficial offer from POI. Said the official offer would be sent out this evening.

Received an official acceptance letter today after attending the in-person interviews last week.

Had interviews in early Jan and got a notification of a status change. Get rejected

not actually an interview. received email saying i'd moved onto stage two :)

Notified that I am continuing onto round 2 of the admissions process.

Interviewed by my POI. But I heard that some applicants got admitted without interview last year.

Ignore Interview. Where are the International applicants? Do they follow a separate pool of admissions?

UChicago MAPSS graduate, grad GPA 3.86. Not a good match. Applied only because UChicago waives application fees for alumni:) But I haven't heard from any other programs either. 0a/1r/0w/0i. Good luck to you all!

I was informed by the director of graduate studies of my rejection. He indicated that there were five times as many applicants as there were available slots in the program.
