Political Science, University Of Toronto To my fellow wait-listed, I spoke to the department yesterday.
1. The notice about housing has nothing to do with them. It comes from the university itself, not the department.
2. Some people have been given extensions until the 15th of April to return their answers, which means we may be waiting until then.
3. Just so you know, they have already made offers to 3 people from the waiting list. Means less competition if you want to be optimistic, or that we are lower on the list if you want to be pessimistic :)

It simply says that you can apply for an accommodation just in case, and that the place will be granted IF you are accepted to the program. So as far as I understand, it does not mean anything in regard to how the admission process has been moving. Unfortunately...
