Graduate School Admission Results

Got an email saying my portal had an update. Had 6 publications, 2 of which were first-author. I had 4 very strong LORs. I also did a ton of teaching and outreach during my undergrad.

1 year research experience. No publications

Got a phone call from one of the faculty congratulating me. Had 6 publications, 2 of which were first-author (the professor who called me was a co-author on one of my papers). I had 4 very strong LORs. I also did a ton of teaching and outreach during my undergrad.

CMU LTI admit; unofficial notification from PI. Undergrad from HYPSM with strong recommendation letters.

email to check portal, portal had acceptance with no funding info, emailed to ask and turns out i'm in with funding! a1/r1/w1/p23

GPA is grad. Undergrad GPA is 3.9.

UCLA double-major in history and political science. Senior honors thesis.

Generic email like the previous post: "Due to the high number ... many strong applicants could not be offered admission." 3.5 undergraduate, 4.0 Master's GPA. 1 Publication. Good luck to everyone still waiting! :)
