a1/w2/r3/p19. i dont imagine a lot of people are gonna decline a berkeley admit, but wow would it be cool for me personally if they did

2 research experiences, including an REU. 1 Poster presentation at a national conference

Received a phone call informing me that I was accepted. Was told that an email will be sent of an official notification letter of acceptance on 2/10.

3 years undergraduate research experience, 2 instrument certifications, worked full time during undergraduate, reached out to PI's and faculty far in advance, and 4 strong LOR.

Email to check the portal. We all know what that means. Welp. On a side note: why must the rejection letters use such harsh language? "Denied admission" is a bit ominous, don't you think? I would have much preferred "So long, and thanks for all the fish," or some such. Just a bit more human--and an acknowledgement of dolphin status. But thanks, anyway. They also deadnamed me
