Received an email telling me to check the Portal. Standard rejection letter in the Portal.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you were accepted with funding and don't want to go, tell them! I was accepted into the program but waitlisted for funding and right now they're my top choice. I can't go if I don't get funding though, so please let them know if you don't plan on going there

To the ones who have been accepted to the UCSB for PhD Chemistry or still wait for UCSB chem's decision and would be opting to accept a better offer which you might have received, it would be helpful if you could reject the offer fromUCSB asap. IGNORE WAITLIST Does Rutgers CompLit offer admissions to just one or two candidates per cycle? That's how their current graduate students page looks like. Bleak prospects, if true

Rejected by the UIUC school of music, although I applied for UIUC physics. I guess mentioning string theory in the application makes the committee think that you want to do music. I thank the committee for recognizing my potential in music.

Received an email to check the portal -- didn't take the GRE, 3+ years of work experience, no publications/papers, undergrad degree in STEM (not IE though)
